About

Everyone has a part to play.

The pro-life movement is a grassroots movement. There are hundreds of pro-life organizations that do great work, but for the most part they do it without talking to or even being aware of each other. Similarly there are millions of Americans opposed to abortion, but most of them don’t do any specific pro-life work, and they don’t even know where to begin.

How To Be Pro-Life is meant to address some of these gaps. We hope that in this list you’ll find ideas that are manageable for your life and will help you contribute in what ways you can where you can. None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something. All we ask is that you try.

How To Be Pro-Life was conceptualized and created by Monica Snyder, one of the women who co-leads Secular Pro-Life. She gathered ideas and drew inspiration from the work of many pro-life groups, including Americans United for Life, And Then There Were None, Equal Rights Institute, Oregon Right to Life, Priests for Life, Rehumanize International, and Students for Life of America, as well as numerous pro-life friends and collaborators not affiliated with specific organizations.

How To Be Pro-Life is paid for by donors to Secular Pro-Life. If you’d like to support our efforts to expand both the list of ideas and the website’s viewership, you can donate here.
