#49. Take pictures at pro-life events.

Organizers put an extraordinary amount of work into creating marches, rallies, and protests, but they often struggle to have enough people to document and promote these events. That’s unfortunate because large pro-life events can demonstrate important information about our movement and our goals. There are usually a lot of clever, thoughtful, and moving signs. The attendees often reveal a much greater diversity than people outside the movement expect. In some cases the sheer magnitude of the crowd is a startling reality.

We want as many people as possible to understand who we are and what we’re trying to say, and you can help by attending with the specific goal of taking high quality photos. Post the photos to social media with hashtags promoting the event. Send the photos to organizers and sponsors with a note giving them permission to use the images now and in the future. Create accounts on royalty-free stock image websites such as Unsplash and Pexels and upload the photos with as many relevant tags as possible so others can use them too.
